Coaching for goalkeepers age 16 - 19

In this age group, the focus shifts more toward playing in the first team. 
By now, we assume that the basic skills are well mastered, so the emphasis moves to match situations. 
Key themes include building up play, transitioning between defense and attack, set pieces, coaching, and effectively covering the space behind the defense.
To optimally prepare the goalkeepers, it is important to plan training sessions carefully and address specific themes in each session. An essential component at this stage is "reading the game." 
This strategic insight is crucial and should not be underestimated.The intensity and quality of the sessions must remain high. 
It is better to perform an exercise five times with quality than twenty times without focus. 
Additionally, strength training is now introduced as a regular part of the training program. 
These sessions should always be supervised by a specialist to prevent injuries and achieve maximum results.
