Training for Children Aged 11 to 13

In this age group, we continue to work on basic techniques, but the focus gradually shifts more towards match-related elements.
This includes field positions, training for corners, high balls, and coaching teammates during the game.
Proper preparation is essential. Creating a monthly plan with weekly activities and detailing the training sessions on paper provides structure and ensures you're not stepping onto the field unprepared. A well-thought-out approach leads to better results.
The training should be both fun and educational, with enough variety to keep the players motivated. Quality takes precedence over quantity.
While it’s sometimes fine to train intensely and "fly from corner to corner," this should not become the norm.
Additionally, this stage requires extra attention and patience. Players undergo not only physical but also mental and social changes, such as the onset of puberty and new challenges at school.
It’s important to consider these factors during the training sessions.
